December Song. New song by FMGuitar. Over the past months I have been trying to compose guitar pieces easier to play. Doing that, I want my music to reach more people. December Song is one of those. An intermediate level ballad in G Maj. Nothing difficult at all but all the difference will be in the interpretation. Do not hesitate to change the tempo and play rubato as you feel ! The sheet music with tablature is available here.

Sepia by FMGuitar
Sepia by FMGuitar. I try to avoid looking backwards and still believe that the best is ahead of me. But when I find some sepia-coloured photos in a drawer, then it's hard not to let the memories flow. And come the notes... Here is the result. A kind of slow, melancholic and bittersweet waltz. Something that our grandparents could have danced on. With the passing-time, the music also can turn yellow. The sheet music is available here.

Cuando la Guitarra Baila by FMGuitar
Monday, 17 January 2011 10:14
Cuando la guitarra baila. A classical piece in the key of A Minor. A tribute to all guitars across the world and the styles. Technically not that difficult / level 3 (1-5) with quite common chord positions. The right-hand fingering is however a bit tricky and in some parts it will require some work to maintain the tempo and the fluidity. As usual when learning a new piece make sure to play slowly in the beginning to get it well under your fingers before your increase the speed. The sheet music in standard notation and tablature is available here.

Tango de los Muertos by FMGuitar
Sunday, 21 August 2011 00:00
Tango de los muertos by FMGuitar. The title of this tango does not refer to Halloween Tango Festival in Boston. What I had in mind when writting this song is a bit strange: after death, some young and and beautiful people, lovers during their short life, meet once a year somewhere in the darkness and dance this tango. Two minutes to be again together. Two minutes of burning passion before nothingness. Short but intense. Like life actually. Not very funny ? I know...
Back to Roots by FMGuitar

Back to Roots by FMGuitar. The life is not a long and quiet river. From time to time these words become a reality. Then turbulences and question marks arise. By chance there is often a light guiding us and showing the way back to our roots. Let's just follow it and we can't be wrong. I know these words might look a bit odd. I'm not getting into mysticism... just trying to explain shortly what I had in the back of my mind when writing this song. The piece is in C Maj. Not really difficult except may be a couple of bars (54 / 55) but nothing serious. Level 3 (3-5). The sheet music is available here.

I would say I have no words more than "Great" . Its Simply amazing. The best instrumental I have ever listen to.
This song is great. rnI'm having a bit more dificulty learning it than I did Flying Guitar Melody or Medieval Song, that are a level above this one. rnSo I guess it may trick a bick. rnI think the hidden difficulty has something to do with it being layerd in diferent rhythems, but I'll eventualy get it.rnOne thing I love it's how it evolves from a harmonic melody into dissonant one. Truly contemporary.rnrnFM is always the best!rnrnRegards form PortugalrnArthur
Excelent composition wich i hope as a beginning player i can learn to play tis piece.rnrnalthough the rithem is verry high for me ,but step for step maybe i learn to play it ;-)
omg! I love the the flowing rythms, the bluesy jam... you are really awesome. One of your best ever masterpieces for sure. / Matthias.
