So, few more words about me. Nothing brilliant I'm afraid, you may be disappointed. I am French (that's brilliant...), 48 and guitarist for the fun. By fun I mean it's not a job even tough it could be my job and be fun as well. Anyway... I started the guitar around 14 right after a trip to Madrid with my family. We came back with a guitar in the boot. It was for my sister but I tried it and immediately fell in love. Don't know why. The shape, the sound, the nice feeling when I got it on my legs ! I also enjoyed very quickly the fact that I could bring it with me almost everywhere. No teacher nor guitar school nearby (countryside...) I had to learn by myself. At that time I was playing trumpet, which I neglected progressively to focus on the guitar. First notes were picking with Marcel Dadi's tabs. It was actually not easy to learn that way but it was so exciting to play that I didn't want to spend hours in decoding sheet music...

Later I moved to classical repertoire that opened new doors. I am almost a self-taught musician and have no regret with that. But retrospectively I think I should have tried to work more seriously with a teacher. I would have saved time ! 10 years ago I felt the need to compose my own music. It's a good way for me to express, better than with words, how I feel in my life. Good or bad, it does not matter, the guitar is here and helps. To me, writing music is a must. Another way to breathe if you prefer. And because it is my pleasure, I would like it to be yours as well. Thus this website. I live near Paris, travel a lot for my job and struggle to find enough free time for doing what I really like. The guitar of course, but also listening music, reading and visiting art galleries. That's it.
